I parked my car and heard blowing air

Why is this happening?

Life is one of the greatest things we could ever have. You discover about yourself and figure out who you are in this world.

The north is a little different when life gives you lemons.

As I’m writing this, I am in the middle of nowhere. Waiting for my tire to fully pump with air because I hit a nail and left a puncture.

Nemaska to Mistissini is about four hours.

I wanted to get fresh air but then I heard this fast blowing air coming from somewhere. I put my ear closer to the tire and figured out that I needed to do something about it.

I decided to drive until the tire deflates, like who does that right?

Finally, I parked my car and pulled the emergency brake so my car doesn’t move. I’m a little tired from all the driving. I have to change this tire.

I have no cell network. I’m two hours away from the closest town. I’m stranded in the middle of nowhere.

I looked through my cabinet in my car to find any tire patch kit. Just what I was looking for, some gum, tire glue and the equipment to fix this darn tire.

I change the tire and pumping air. It’s taking about 40 minutes to hit 30 psi from no air.

A guy with his girlfriend stopped and asked,

“Est-ce que tout va bien?”

“Oui, j’ai un petit trou dans mon pneu.”

“On te suivre.”

“Merci monsieur.”

Job done.

Let’s get to Mistissini.

I’m this year’s host for a music festival with some of the most successful artists in Canada

The N’we Jinan Festival is happening in Mistissini, QC., on June 24 & 25.

The festival is featuring 150 Cree youth singers and over 30 music professionals.

The announcement was made through N’we Jinan’s Facebook page:

The music festival is expecting over a dozen people.

Some artists include Mariame, who is the first signed Cree artist for the N’we Jinan music label in 2014.

Watch her music video, “As long as you are here.” (No more than 5 minutes)

KZO (Pakesso Mukash) is an Aboriginal EDM artist from the Whapmagoostui First Nation. He started his DJ career in 2013.

HOW I BECAME THE HOST

I moved to Quebec for the summer to work as a host at a small local radio station.

The station is successful of about 700 people who listen daily for new music and interesting stories.

David Hodges, who is the executive director for the N’we Jinan music label, heard me on the radio and then approached me to host the event.

I’ll be on Snapchat throughout the event.

Take a photo below and be part of it.

I hope to see you all there. It’s going to be a great festival!

Wachiya,

As you’re reading, you’re going to get to know the writer, me.

I’m a Cree living in Toronto as a student at Ryerson University. I’m 26 years old. I’m originally from a small town called Nemaska. It’s in northern Quebec. I speak three different languages: Cree, English and French.

I live in a condo with my girlfriend in Toronto and the view is amazing. I met this girl this past year and she’s the best thing that ever happened to me. She makes me laugh. I enjoy her company. She’s my best friend. I’m happy that she’s in my life. Her name is Amanda. Wait until you meet her.

From time to time, I work as a radio host for Champ FM. It’s a small radio station. I started working from a summer job placement program for the radio and I always seem to go back to it. If I can get paid to talk and play music. Great.

I love traveling. I want to go places where I haven’t been before… Asia please! I’ve been to 13 countries and I’m still counting for more trips.

Health is important to me and I need supplements to help me get the best results. Being a busy student means that I’ll probably eat fast food, – Not all the time – but thanks to Isotonix, (click here) I can enjoy the fast life and not worry so much on my daily vitamin intake.

I sing music covers. Music is the best medicine. I got a music contract once. Nothing happened. I thought that singing would be something I would do for a living because I enjoyed it so much. I still sing and I’ll do it for the soul.

Summer is just around the corner and I’m ready to go camping and most likely go swimming on the lake.

Nick

This is my journal. This is where I write about my interests and experiences. Let’s just say this is where I will speak my mind. Some will understand and some won’t. That’s totally cool. I’m glad you found your way on this page 🙂

Let’s begin…
